Choosing a new transportable holiday home location

This will be the second time we’re moving our transportable holiday home. It is just so easy to arrange the transport. But with more and more transportable holiday home locations to choose from, selecting a new location for our vacations somehow keeps getting harder. But although I’m very bad at making decisions, I am very good at daydreaming.

The Cramer family has already visited many of our transportable holiday home locations. In this blog they talk about the locations they’ve explored in the past and the one they will choose for their next vacation.
 

We’ve had our transportable holiday home for several years now. We started off holidaying in France, in the Burgundy region. Then later we moved to a ski resort in the mountains. All we had to do to get our movable holiday home transported was to get in touch with Flying Holiday Homes and tell them what new holiday home location we had chosen.

Choosing our first transportable holiday home location

Burgundy is a wonderful region, and the vineyards are certainly attractions. The reason we chose France, and particularly Burgundy, from all the movable holiday home locations, was that we could drive there and wouldn’t have to rent a car. And of course, the wine region seemed very attractive to both me and my partner.

Our journey to Burgundy was surprisingly uneventful, and we knew that out holiday home would be waiting for us when we arrived at the site. All we needed to take with us were our clothes, linen and the children’s favorite toys. We definitely chose the right holiday home location and soon got used to our new home. We also appreciated the fact that we didn’t have to pay for hotel rooms for everyone. Having a transportable holiday home has saved us a lot of money on accommodation and food. We can cook for ourselves rather than relying on hotel and restaurant food.

Plenty of holiday home locations to choose from

My partner and I believe that our children should have as many opportunities as they can to explore the world. We both travelled a lot when we were younger and had some amazing times. We want our children to travel with us and experience a kind of real life education, learning about the world by experiencing what it has to offer.

So after Burgundy, we had our transportable holiday home moved to a ski resort in the French mountains. We did everything in the resort as a family and really enjoyed our stays. But after two years of these, it seemed a good idea to move to another holiday home location. Luckily there are plenty of holiday home locations to choose from.
 

What will we choose as our new transportable holiday home location?

We sat down with the Flying Holiday Homes catalogue and did some research into the different locations our holiday home could be moved to. I suppose we all did a bit of daydreaming while we were thinking about where our next holiday home location would be. I could see us choosing Cyprus because I love spending time on islands with their laid-back lifestyle. The children wanted to have a beach holiday, and my partner would have preferred a lake-side location.

Eventually it came down to two options: Would we choose Italy or try the Spanish coast? I think that now we have decided on Spain, so we will have to choose our ideal location. And then contact the staff at Flying Holiday Homes, so they can make the arrangements, while we continue our daydreaming.
